ISEPEI and UNDP Run Joint ICTs for DRR Workshop

Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) professionals from all over the world have gathered at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest this week for a joint ISEPEI and UNDP "Innovations in Disaster Risk Management" workshop. Rastislav Vrbensky, the Director of the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub for Europe and the CIS opened the workshop on Monday July 13th along with Margaret Bolter of CEU and course directors Viktor Lagutov (CEU) and Armen Grigoryan (UNDP).

Water Professionals Convene at CEU for "Bridging ICTs and Environment" Course

Thirty-three water practitioners, academics, and decision-makers from 20 countries including Iran, Jamaica, Nigeria, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and beyond are convening at CEU in Budapest for the ISEPEI "Making Information Talk and Technologies Work for Water Security" workshop this week, July 6-10.

Dr. Viktor Lagutov Appointed Facilitator to Eye on Earth Working Group

This timely appointment coincides with UN’s World Water Day, a worldwide event showcasing the importance of this vital resource.

The World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development is taking place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from 10-12 November 2014. The conference will "mark the end of the UN Decade of ESD (2005-2015) and see the launch of the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD". 

Given the current uncertainty about how the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds (see updates here: https://summeruniversity.ceu.edu/sun-covid-19), we kindly ask you for some patience until about April 15, when we will have a clearer picture of the situation in Hungary and worldwide.
