Upcoming ISEPEI & GeoHub Workshop to Explore Geospatial Innovations for Sustainable Development

May 20, 2025

The ISEPEI project is excited to announce an upcoming 2-day hybrid workshop, taking place on May 26–27, 2025. This special event marks over 10 years of training workshops for environmental professionals and will offer a condensed, focused program designed to deliver high-impact content in a shorter timeframe.

Organized as part of the ISEPEI workshop series and serving as the culmination of the OSUN's GeoHub project, the event will highlight innovative uses of geospatial technologies in support of evidence-based decision-making and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Several long-standing GeoHub partners and renowned ISEPEI speakers will join the workshop in person, including Lóránt Czárán (UN Office for Outer Space Affairs), Ed Parsons (formerly of Google), and Lara Prades (UN Global Service Centre), among others. Attendees can expect thought-provoking sessions on the role of location data, satellite imagery, drone-based remote sensing, and mobile digital tools in addressing global challenges and monitoring progress toward the SDGs.

The event will be open to all, making it accessible to a broad international audience of professionals, researchers, and students interested in the applications of geospatial technologies.

More information, including the detailed agenda, will be shared soon.
